MY GOALS

STEP 1 - Desire

I want to increase my basketball skills.

step 2 - belief

i believe i can achieve this goal very easily if i were to practice daily.

step 3 - analyze where you are

realistic goals are very important. i can play basketball well, but not as good as others.

step 4 - set realistic goals

realistic goals is one you can reach, my realistic goal i want to set is, go to the gym every week and increase the days i go by1 every 2 weeks.

step 5 - write your goals into detail

putting goals on paper help you to keep your goals organized to match your believe of designing it. this can clarify what you need.  Go to the basketball court as much as possible.

step 6 - list the benifits you will recieve

you cannot achieve goals without writing them down.  the benifits you plan to recieve, you need to write them down if you plan to recieve them.  my benifits are that i will be able to play better while playig with my friends at the gym.

step 7 - identify the obstacle

other things that get into your while to overcome your obstacle. things can get into youir way sometimes to keep you from achieving your goal/obstacle.  my obstacle is that, i will need to get a ride to the gym that i plan to play basketball. other obstacles that i will have to good thru are that i will need to be able to get picked by a team to be able to play.

step 8 - identify what you will need

you have to be able to think about the supplies you will need to achieve your goals.  wanting something and achieving are completely different things.  i will need a ride, a basketball, a team to play on, a gym to play at, and courage.

step 9 - make a plan of action

without a plan of action, achieving your goals will become badly difficult for you to achieve/accomplish.  after all your information is given, make a plan of action that goeals step-by-step.  go to the store and buy a baskeball, get a ride from my mom to the gym, practice alot until i have achieved my goal.

step 10 - setting up timelines.

timelines makes achieving goals more easier for you.  keeping up wih a timeline will help you accomplish them more so often.  i will set up my own timeline and write out my step-by-step actions for the specific days that i want to go to the gym.

step 11 - monitor your progress

you have to monitor your progress to be able to achieve your goal.  without your progress getting monitored, you may not know where you are and know how far you need to go to achieve it.  My progress at the moment is, my ball handles are good, but my shot selections aren't as good.

step 12 - never give up

i can use my family and friends to help modivate me to achieve my goals.
